The Body Shop Rainforest Moisture Hair Butter

Today I am reviewing The Body Shop Rainforest Hair Butter. Honestly, I have never used a hairbutter before; the concept was quite new to me. Nivedita told me it was similar to a leave in conditioner only with a heavier consistency. Although I have an oily scalp, my hair is quite dry. Moreover, they are straight and very fine and hence they get tangled very easily. TBS rainforest hairbutter has fitted my requirements just perfectly.

Price: INR420

It comes in a white plastic tub, which is a bit unhygienic. The hairbutter is creamy and very thick in consistency. I apply it on towel dry hair just after shampooing. It gets absorbed in my hair very quickly and makes them smoother, more manageable and tangle-free.

Pros:
1.       Works great as a deep conditioner.
2.       Makes hair smoother and softer.
3.       It works like magic on my frizzy hair! Sometimes it looks like I have just ironed them.
4.       Does not weigh hair down.
5.       It does not contain paraben or silicone or colorants!
6.       Just a small quantity is enough to cover my entire shoulder length hair.
7.       Has a very nice mild fragrance.

Cons:
I can’t think of any except that the tub packaging is a bit gross. Although you use it only after taking shower when your hands would be clean anyways. :-|

Recommendation: This is a great product if you need some extra nourishment for your hair. And unlike most of the other conditioners, it does not contain silicone or paraben. I personally hate hair products that have silicone.

Winner of Shadows and Sequins 100GFC followers giveaway in association with Stylecraze.com

I am finally announcing the winner of my 100GFC followers giveaway in association with Stylecraze.com. I am sorry that I took almost a week to announce the name of the winner, but there were more than 5k entries and checking each of them was quite a cumbersome job.

I want to thank everyone who participated and spread the message. Honestly, I didn't expect such a huge response and I am simply overwhelmed. I would also like to thank Chetana from stylecraze for sponsoring the giveaway.

So, here comes the winner.

And the winner is, Nupur Saxena!
Congratulations Nupur! I am going to mail you and you have 48hours to respond me back with your contact details and your choice of shades. Otherwise I would have to pick another winner.

While hosting this giveaway, my blog crossed 200GFC followers and I think I owe you guys another giveaway for showing such great support. I usually do not support luring followers by hosting tons of giveaways, I rather believe in the quality of my content. But maybe this time a little rule-breaking is not gonna hurt my principles. So stay tuned for another giveaway, it will come pretty soon.

So that's it for today. Goodnight. :)

Some latest additions to my jewllery stash

I think you all know I am a huge jewellery addict. Despite all the promises I make to myself, I end up buying loads of 'craps' (according to my Ma :P) every month. Here are some stuff I bought this month, although July is not over yet and I have already ordered a fabulously beautiful statement neck piece that I am expecting in a week. I have plan to make a separate post about that though. :D

Blue-silver chandelier earrings from Globus.

This one is from Pantaloons. Its a bit heavy, but love those multicolored little rhinestones.

Another purchase from Globus. This one is my most favorite these days.

Spotted it in a small shop that was stashed with jeweleries and my eagle eye (:P) found this out of the whole lot. It was a single piece left there. Loved the pendant so much that I bought it even if the hook was rusty. :P

So that's it for now. I will be announcing my giveaway winner by sunday, I hope. Thanks so much for all the support. :)

Lakme Perfect Radiance fairness day cream

When it comes to my face, I always go for something that is totally oil-free. Believe me, my face generates so much oil itself that I don't need an outside supply of that at all. :/ I spotted this Lakme Perfect Radiance fairness day cream at my local grocery shop; I liked the claims it made and hence bought it straightaway.

About the product:

As you can see from the pictures, the tub comes in a separate paper carton.

The product comes in pink plastic tub with a silver cap. I liked the packaging. And the tub is so tiny that you can easily carry it around in your handbag,

The white cream is very thick in consistency and it leaves a matte finish. Although the nice matte finish does not stay for very long. My face becomes oily just after half an hour of the application. It never broke me out nevertheless. It doesn't work wonder on spots and blemishes overnight, but regular usage does make the skin look brighter and smoother. Might work well as a makeup base too, I haven't tried that though. And by the way, I use it as a night cream too and that works just perfect for me. It does not contain any SPF.

Overall verdict: This day cream lives up to most of its claims except for that oil controlling part. So I think it is an overall nice product.

A colourful haul from Craftsvilla.com

So I posted about the giveaway and then disappeared again. Well, the last 15days have been absolutely hectic for me. And my broadband connection is also giving me a very hard time. However I shopped again to cheer myself up (:D :D: D) and this time it was from craftsvilla.com.

This is not actually the first time I shopped from them, I got to know about them from facebook when it was just a budding website that had an amazing collection of handcrafted goods, especially those beautiful  handmade bags. That small but wonderful website has grown much bigger overtime; now they have a way bigger and diverse collection of crafted goods and also a new look.

This is what I shopped from them this time. Khadi fruit shampoo, stacked bracelet from Laron handicrafts and this beautiful purple-turquoise blue kurta from the Rajasthan Bandhej.

The delivery was quick, I got everything within a week. Although the three items were from three different sellers and hence they were delivered separately. So actually three parcels came to my house in 4days, which freaked out my mom a lot. To her, blogging is a waste of time. :P

This is a set of six beaded bracelets. Very colourful and pretty.

LOVE the kurta! It has got all my favourite colours. :D

My first Khadi purchase. Can't wait to review it!

This palm leaf bookmark came as a gift with one of the parcels.

This is a picture of the jhola bag that I shopped from them longtime back. The dokra fish keyring was my gift with the purchase. The bag is colourful and sturdy and huge. You can carry your world in it.
I once complained that they didn't include zipper in most of their handmade bags. They promised that they would look into the matter. Then after a few days I saw them came up with this new range of jhola bags, with a special mention that they had included zippers with them as per the suggestion  of a customer. Isn't that nice?
Here is another post on my craftsvilla haul from the archive.

They have a very customer-friendly shipping and return policy which you can check out here.

I got a gift voucher to shop.

And don't forget to enter my ongoing 100 followers stylecraze giveaway to win some exciting goodies. :)

Hi ladies, sorry about being irregular in the blogosphere lately. Actually lots of things are currently happening in my life and I’m just too busy handling all of them simultaneously.
I have crossed 100GFC followers recently and now its running 134. The number of my posts are about to cross 200 and I have also noticed that my blog baby has completed one year quite sometimes ago. So I have been thinking about hosting a giveaway to celebrate the occasion. However I had to wait because lots of giveaways were running at that moment (for some people giveaways are becoming some sort of ‘mid-day meal’ scheme these days I presume. :P) and I was too busy to do anything for my blog. So finally I am announcing the giveaway and the good news is that, it’s going to be an international one. :)
I must thank Chetna from Stylecraze.comfor sponsoring the giveaway for SAS. She has been really supportive and sweet about the whole thing from the very beginning.
